2 Jun (Sat): FREE Nature Connection: Sketching and Watercolour Painting of Birds with NParks

Join us in a series of free art workshops and talks by talented local artists and friends of Pulau Ubin! An avid nature photographer and painter, Mr Thong Chow Ngian hopes to create awareness and showcase the vast variety of beautiful birds found in urbanised Singapore. He will guide participants to sketch and paint a bird in watercolor, using a photo as a reference. Suitable for participants aged 18 and above.

9 Jun - 9 Jul: “The Island in Focus” photography exhibition by Photographic Society of Singapore

Pulau Ubin had their very first collaboration with The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS) for an intense and jam packed 2-Day Photography Programme. It was held over the weekend on 21 to 22 October 2017 with a total number of 28 PSS members participating in the programme.

10 Jun (Sun): Make a Pulau Ubin Animal Clay Figurine with Jacquelyn Soo

Kids, adults of all ages welcomed in this air-dry clay making activity! Artist and Art Educator Jacquelyn Soo will guide you in making miniature clay figurines of that we see on Ubin! Like otters, hornbill, rooster, wild boar, monkey. No experience required! All materials and tools provided! Air-Dry Clay (non-toxic), tools, water, glue, scissors.

16 Jun (Sat): Chek Jawa Nature Photographic Outing with the Nature Photographic Society (Singapore)

Located at the northeast coast of Pulau Ubin, Chek Jawa is no doubt one of the best intertidal sites in Singapore for nature appreciation and biodiversity conservation.

With its special location and interesting foreground/background, Sunrise at Chek Jawa will also be an unusual experience for most nature photographers in Singapore. To support the ongoing Pesta Ubin 2018 event, Nature Photographic Society (Singapore) (NPSS) is organizing a nature photographic outing to Chek Jawa.

Due to the sensitivity of the habitats, the event is restricted to 12 participants.

16 Jun (Sat): FREE Nature Connection: Sketches in Ball Point Pen with NParks

Join us in a series of free art workshops and talks by talented local artists and friends of Pulau Ubin! Mr Francis Theo loves capturing the unique charms of Pulau Ubin with his sketchbook and ink fountain pens. Come sketch with him at the Ubin Living Lab as he shares his passion and special techniques. Suitable for participants aged 10 to 15.

16 Jun (Sat): FREE Nature Connection: Nature Art with Kids with NParks

Join us in a series of free art workshops and talks by talented local artists and friends of Pulau Ubin! In this workshop, join Ms Alpana Ahuja, an avid nature lover and volunteer with Acres and the Nature Society Singapore, on a walk at the Butterfly Hill. Along the way, she will guide participants to use watercolour to paint the flowers and butterflies you see. Suitable for participants aged 7 and above. Parents are welcomed to accompany their children for this activity.

24 Jun (Sun): FREE Art in the Park with Nature Society (Singapore)

Meet fellow nature art lovers to observe and capture Ubin's landscape and biodiversity in a variety of mediums, from paint to ink and pencil.
