27 May (Sun): Pesta Ubin WalkRunBike 2018
Choose from a family friendly 2km scenic route, or a 6km rustic route. New! This year, join mountain biking at the 6km Ketam Mount Bike Park.
In support of The Ubin Way, plastic water bottles will NOT be given out during this activity. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle (BYOB) for topping up at at the start and finish points.

How did we have fun before electronic devices? Come visit Teck Seng's Place to find out! Have fun learning traditional Kampung games such as five stones, hopscotch, chapteh and more!
At Teck Seng's Place get a glimpse of kampung life in the past.
Inside the restored kampung house, relive the daily life of a family on Ubin long ago.
27 May (Sun): Ubin 2Rivers Kayaking by Kayakasia
We bring you to the 2 Rivers as well as to the tallest hill on Pulau Ubin in a single trail! Pulau Ubin is crisscrossed by many waterways. This trail will explore 2 of her intricate river systems, linking Sungei Jelutong and Sungei Besar in a closed loop within the island. This is one of our favourite trails!

28 May - 2 Jun: Tua Pek Kong Festival
On the fourth month of the Lunar calendar, when the moon is full, Pulau Ubin bursts with celebrations!
For six days and six nights, the birthday of Tua Pek Kong is honoured with colourful festivities. Ubin Jetty is decked out in colourful flags and lanterns, and Ubin Town is host to lavish rituals. The ancient Wayang Stage at Ubin Town comes alive with traditional opera in glittering costumes as well as more modern vibrant celebrations. Pilgrims and worshippers make their way to Ubin to celebrate.
The Tua Pek Kong Festival is organised by the Pulau Ubin Fo Shan Ting Da Bo Gong Temple.

2 Jun (Sat): FREE Ubin Quarry kayaking with Republic Polytechnic
The quarries are usually closed to the public. But on Pesta Ubin, RP students-volunteers from the Diploma in Outdoor & Adventure Learning (DOAL) are organising this opportunity for you to get up close and personal with the Ubin Quarry by kayak.
To minimize the impact on the environment and create this unique experience for everyone, we are limiting the numbers of participants for this event. Limited to 200 participants per day!

2 Jun (Sat): FREE Nature Connection: Sketching and Watercolour Painting of Birds with NParks
Join us in a series of free art workshops and talks by talented local artists and friends of Pulau Ubin! An avid nature photographer and painter, Mr Thong Chow Ngian hopes to create awareness and showcase the vast variety of beautiful birds found in urbanised Singapore. He will guide participants to sketch and paint a bird in watercolor, using a photo as a reference. Suitable for participants aged 18 and above.
2 Jun (Sat): Punggol to Ubin Kayaking by Kayakasia
This is a special trail that links together Punggol, Pulau Serangoon (Coney Island), and Pulau Ubin!
Could be called the trail of mystery as we attempt to locate a crumbling villa, the German Girl Shrine, and one of the best look-out point on Pulau Ubin. This trail might also take you into the equally unknown Sungai Teris.

10 Jun (Sun): Kampung Life on Ubin, with Ivy and 'Ah Ma' and the Singapore Heritage Society
Would you like to know about kampung life on Pulau Ubin? If so, do come to meet Ivy and her mother, Lye Huat Soh, popularly known as ‘Ah Ma’, to understand how three generations of an Ubin family have lived on Ubin.
Experience a show and tell - and also participate! - to get insights into what life was like in the past and how it has changed in the present: the home they built, the everyday tools used in their kitchen, and the challenges of making a living in what remains of rural Singapore.
15 Jun (Fri): Ubin 3Rivers Kayaking by Kayakasia
Pulau Ubin is crisscrossed by many waterways. This special kayaking trip will explore 3 of her intricate rivers, linking 3 waterways in a closed loop within the island. At some sections, the river narrowed and the trees closed, creating a natural canopy of arching branches and leaves. Numerous species of birds are easily spotted among this mazy waterways. Bigger reptiles like monitor lizards and snakes go about their ways.

16 Jun (Sat): Guided Mangrove Kayaking Paddle at Sungei Jelutong with Nature Society (Singapore)
A series of guided, self-paddled kayak tours on Sungei Jelutong to enjoy its fascinating mangroves. Experienced volunteer guides will explain interesting facts about mangrove plants, the importance of our coastal forests, and what we can do to conserve these forests and why we conserve.
This leisure guided trip is suitable for both children and adults alike. Pre-payment and registration are required. Each guided kayak trip lasts 1.5 hours including safety briefing.

Mr Francis Theo loves capturing the unique charms of Pulau Ubin with his sketchbook and ink fountain pens. Come sketch with him at the Ubin Living Lab as he shares his passion and special techniques. Suitable for participants aged 10 to 15.
16 Jun (Sat): FREE Nature Connection: Nature Art with Kids with NParks
Join us in a series of free art workshops and talks by talented local artists and friends of Pulau Ubin! In this workshop, join Ms Alpana Ahuja, an avid nature lover and volunteer with Acres and the Nature Society Singapore, on a walk at the Butterfly Hill. Along the way, she will guide participants to use watercolour to paint the flowers and butterflies you see. Suitable for participants aged 7 and above. Parents are welcomed to accompany their children for this activity.
16 Jun (Sat): FREE Night Walk with Nature Society (Singapore) and Herpetological Society of Singapore
The Vertebrate Study Group is organising a joint night walk with the Herpetological Society of Singapore to try to spot wildlife such as snakes, mouse deer, wild pigs, owls and more at Pulau Ubin.
